Cruise Book from Ike 2006 DeploymentPetty Officer First Class Aviation Electronics Technician of the Navy Robert M. Rubano was born and raised in Winter Springs, Florida. He entered the U.S. Navy attending basic training in Great Lakes in August 2003.
Cruise Book from Ike 2009 DeploymentAT1 Rubano attended Aviation Electronics Technician Apprentice School in Pensacola, Fl., and his first duty assignment was with USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69). While stationed on the Eisenhower his talents were recognized in Lean & Six Sigma and he was assigned to the AIRSpeed office. He was promoted to Second Class Petty Officer prior to his departure.
In Dec 2009, he was assigned to Navy Recruiting District Pittsburgh, and recruited out of Scranton, Pa. He was promoted to First Class Petty Officer in Dec of 2012.
He reported to USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) Jul 2013 and deployed as part of the unprecedented 3-carrier swap. At the end of deployment, he was transferred to the USS George Washington (CVN-73) where he served as the AIRSpeed Leading Petty Officer.
In Aug 2017 he reported to Fleet Readiness Center Norfolk where he served as the command Safety Representative and continued teaching Lean & Six Sigma.

He transferred to his final command, USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) in July of 2020.
AT1 Rubanos’ personal awards include Navy Achievement Medal (four awards), Navy "E" Ribbon (three awards), Meritorious Unit Commendation (three awards), Inherent Resolve Campaign, the Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist Insignia, and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist Insignia.
